Director Lingusamy, who backed Kamal Haasan starrer Uttama Villain (2015), has confirmed that the actor will work with Lingusamy to compensate the losses incurred, during a press event held in Chennai on Tuesday.

Directed by Ramesh Aravind, Uttama Villain was co-produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International and Lingusamy's Thirupathi Brothers Film Media. The film met with a box office failure, resulting financial impact for Lingusamy's banner.

“We started Uttama Villain with utmost happiness of making a film. Despite making the film with all the hard work, it was a film which made us incur losses. We initially wanted to do Papanasam, he also narrated an action film, but we extended full support to do a film that he wanted. However, Kamal sir has given us the commitment to do another film to compensate the losses. Our friendship continues and we have met a couple of times. We will do a film for our company soon,” Lingusamy said while speaking at the press event of Beginning.

Lingusamy, however, did not divulge if he will be directing the film or any other information on the film.
