Director Ahmed recently shared a behind-the-scenes work still from the sets of Jayam Ravi's Iraivan. Taking to Instagram, the director shared a photo of a prosthetic leg covered in blood. He captioned the photo "Work #Iraivan". 

Iraivan has Nayanthara as the female lead. Billed to be a commercial entertainer, Jayam Ravi is speculated to be playing a cop in the film. Iraivan will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Jayam Ravi has previously played cops in films like Thani Oruvan and Bogan.

Iraivan marks the second collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Ahmed after Jana Gana Mana, a big-budget spy thriller, which is yet to be completed. The film's shoot got stalled halfway due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer for Jana Gana Mana as well.

Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G of Passion Studios, Iraivan has cinematography by Hari K Vedanth and editing by Manikanda Balaji.

Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: I, has Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan,  Ponniyin Selvan: II and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren coming up. Meanwhile, Nayanthara is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut with the Atlee directorial, Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
