Debutant Ishaaon and Pranali Ghogare's Ariyavan is all set to release on March 3. While the film was said to be helmed by Mithran R Jawahar, a controversy has surfaced with the director allegedly denying being the film's director.

The announcement regarding Mithran directing Ariyavan came just days after an announcement revealed that he was directing Madhavan for his next film. Now, he has apparently opened to some media houses that Ariyavan was directed by his assistant and that he was only a part of the project to help him out.

As a response to these controversies, the makers of Ariyavan let out behind-the-scenes making videos and photos from the film's sets. All the photos and video glimpses feature Mithran Jawahar directing the film.

Ariyavan has music by James Vasanthan, Ved Shankar, and Giri Nandh. The film is written by Mariselvan.

While it is still unclear whether or not Mithran directed Ariyavan, he is working on his next film headlined by Madhavan. He took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that writer Jeyamohan has been roped in to pen the screenplay and dialogues for the film. Sharmila Mandre is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Madhavan and the film's shooting will commence soon.
