On Monday, actor Silambarasan released the first single from Maayavalai, titled Vaazhkai Oru Maayavalai. Composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the composer has crooned the song along with Kapil Kapilan. The verses for the song have been penned by Snekan. 

Maayavalai stars Ameer, Sathya, Sanchitha Shetty, Saran, Dheena, and Vincent Ashokan among others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Ramesh Balakrishnan. 

The technical crew consists of Ramji handling the cinematography and SP Ahamed handling the edit. It is to be noted that Yuvan Shankar Raja is a long-time collaborator of Ameer and who earlier composed for the latter's directorial Raam, Paruthiveeran, and Mounam Pesiyadhe. 

Maayavalai is backed by Ameer Film Corporation and released by Vetrimaaran's  Grassroot Film Company. A release date of the film is yet to be announced.
