We had earlier reported that actor-composer GV Prakash Kumar will be headlining the upcoming Tamil film Kalvan. The makers recently shared that the film’s post-production works is happening at a rapid pace, with the background score composed and created in Hungary with a team of musicians. Reva is composing the background score for Kalvan.

The upcoming film is backed by Axess Film Factory, and directed by cinematographer PV Shankar. Ivana and Bharathiraja play prominent parts in the film which is planned for a theatrical release during early 2024. Others part of the cast include Dheena, G Gnanasambandam, Vinoth Munna, Jenson Dhivakar, Prasanna Balachandran and Nivedita.

Reva said, “Composing background score for Kalvan was pretty challenging as the film boasts of tremendous performers like GV Prakash Kumar, Bharathiraja sir, Ivana and others. The story and its setting offered a scope to explore more on the creative aspects. Since, emotions form an intriguing part of this film, it was more challenging to deliver music that would compliment it.”

Besides playing the lead, GV Prakash Kumar has also composed the songs. With Shankar also handling the cinematography, the editing is supervised by San Lokesh.
