We had earlier reported that a sequel to Soodhu Kavvum, titled Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naadum Naatu Makkalum, is in the making with actor Shiva playing the lead role. The makers recently released a few stills from the making of the dark comedy and said that the shooting is nearing completion.

Written and directed by SJ Arjun, the film also stars Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. The story is penned by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja.

“The sequel is based on an original idea by Nalan. Soodhu Kavvum 2 is 100 percent a continuation of the story from the first film,” producer CV Kumar earlier said. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Karthik K Thillai, music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath and editor Ignatious Aswin.

Soodhu Kavvum is 2013 black crime comedy film directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, Sanchita Shetty among others. However, the four actors will be not returning for the sequel.
