Earlier, we reported that Madhavan has joined hands with director Mithran Jawahar for his next Tamil film. On Thursday, actor Radhikaa Sarathkumar took to her official X handle to announce that she, along with Madhavan, has begun shooting for the film. Further, on Friday, Madhavan shared a video from Scotland, announcing that the film has been titled Adhirshtasaali.

It is to be noted that Adhirshtasaali will mark the first time Madhavan will be collaborating with Mithran. It was also announced that the film's script is penned by author Jeyamohan. 

The cast and technical crew have not been announced yet. While the plot details of the upcoming project are also kept under wraps, the film is backed by Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited. 

Mithran Jawahar delivered a super hit last year with Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam. He has also previously worked in films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty, Uthamaputhiran and Mathil. 

Meanwhile, Madhavan was most recently seen in The Railway Men on Netflix. The actor has Amriki Pandit, starring Manju Warrier, and The Test co-starring Siddharth, Nayanthara and Meera Jasmine, in various stages of production.
