We had earlier reported that KT Kunjumon was returning to film production with the sequel to his blockbuster film, Gentleman. Today, Gentleman 2 was launched today with an official pooja. 

The event saw the felicitation of Oscar winning composer MM Keeravani.

Chethan Cheenu, who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry and has done films like Pelliki Mundu Prema Katha, Vidyarthi, and Mantra 2, is the lead for the sequel. Malayalam actor Nayanthara Chakravarthy will make her debut as a female lead. Priya Lal will also play a pivotal role.

While the original film was directed by Shankar, the sequel will be directed by Gokul Krishna, known for films like Aaha Kalyanam.

M M Keeravani, known for composing films like the Bahubali duology and the recently released RRR, will compose music for the film. This will mark Keeravani's return to Tamil cinema after Kondattam (2000). Thotta Tharani will be handling the art direction. K T Kunjumon will produce the film under his banner Gentleman Film International. 

Gentleman 2 will be shot in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and will also be dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada.
