Actor-composer Vijay Antony, who was recently seen in the murder mystery Kolai, has announced his next. Titled Romeo, the film is a romantic drama, that will have a pan-Indian release. 

Apart from playing the lead, Vijay Antony will be producing the film under his newly launched production house Good Devil Productions and editing it. Vijay aims to encourage and launch young and aspiring talents through his new production studio. 

Romeo is directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan, who has earlier worked as assistant director of filmmaker Shree Karthick in Kanam. Vinayak has previously directed a YouTube Series titled Kadhal Distancing.

Starring Mirnalini Ravi as the female lead, the Telugu version of Romeo has been titled Love Guru. Also featuring VTV Ganesh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Ilavarasu, Sudha and Sreeja Ravi, the film has cinematography by  Farook J Basha and music by Barath Dhanasekar.

The film will be shot extensively in and around Malaysia, Bangkok, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Tenkasi, and Mahabalipuram.

Apart from Romeo, Vijay Antony has several films like Ratham, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan, Agni Siragugal and Valli Mayil in various stages of production. 

Romeo is expected to hit the screens summer next year.
