Paramporul, the upcoming Tamil film starring Sarath Kumar and Amitash in the lead roles, will hit the theatres on September 1. The makers announced the news on Saturday through their social media handles. The film stars Kashmira Pardesi as the female lead. Directed by Aravind Raj, the film is produced by Manoj and Girish under the banner of Kavi Creations.

Earlier, the makers released a teaser of the film, which showcases the world of antique idol theft. The teaser suggests Sarath Kumar's character as a cop who has embarked upon an investigation into the case of idol smuggling. Just like Sarath Kumar's recent outing, Por Thozhil, the teaser of Paramporul features the actor in a similar avatar.

The film also stars director Balaji Sakthivel in an important role. The film's technical team comprises S. Pandikumar as the cinematographer, Nagooran Ramachandran serves as the editor, and Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music for the film.
