We had earlier reported that actor Rashmika Mandanna will be headlining an upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Rainbow. The makers have now announced that the first schedule of the film, which was shot in Munnar, has been wrapped up.

Directed by debutant Shantharuban, the film features actor Dev Mohan playing a vital role. Backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film marks Rashmika's maiden project as solo lead. The film went on floors earlier this month.

Earlier speaking to CE, the director had said, "At heart, it will be a romantic fantasy. I would not be able to reveal much, at this time, but the story will be set against the backdrop of Ooty. The story will primarily revolve around these two characters. I got the idea of the film back in 2017 and developed it. Thankfully it worked out and gave me a canvas to mount this feature film.”

The technical crew of the film consists of KM Bhaskaran as the cinematographer and Banglan as production designer. Justin Prabhakaran will be scoring the music.
