Pichaikkaran 2, the upcoming sequel to Vijay Antony's 2016 action thriller Pichaikkaran, is set to hit the theatres on May 19, the makers of the film announced on social media. The film’s teaser will be out on Saturday.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on April 14.

It marks Vijay’s directorial debut and will release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Apart from direction, Vijay will also write, score music and back the film through his production house Vijay Antony Film Corporation.

The film also stars Kavya Thapar John Vijay, Harish Peraddi, YG Mahendra, Ajay Ghosh, Yogi Babu and others. The film is backed by Fatima Vijay Antony.
