As the much-anticipated second part of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selavan is set to hit the theatres on April 28, the makers of the film released a one-minute video of the song, Chinnanjiru Nilave, on Monday. AR Rahman composed the song with lyrics written by Ilango Krishnan, and Haricharan lent his voice to the song. 

The one-minute video showcases the romantic instances between Aditya Karikalan (Vikram) and Nandini ( Aishwarya Rai). 

The first part of Ponniyin Selvan gained much appreciation from the audiences and minted big at the box office. Apart from Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the film period drama also features Karthi, Trisha, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. 

Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, the film is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Produced under the Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions banners, Ponniyin Selvan is shot by Ravi Varman, while A Sreekar Prasad handles the edits.
