A video featuring actor Shanthnu speaking about his limited screen time in the Vijay-starrer Master (2021) is now surfacing on social media platforms. He played the role of a college student named Bhargav in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. In the viral video snippet, the actor is seen sharing that he had shot for about 30 days, including a combination fight sequence with Vijay and a love track with Gowri Kishan's character. He also says adds that the substantial role in the script, unfortunately, got trimmed down in the final cut and he was only featured for around 12 minutes.

Sharing the video, Shanthnu stated that the description in this video is misleading. He wrote, "It is true that I was upset. I did face criticism but I’m not blaming anyone! The description in this video is MISLEADING to a small extent. Not all choices turn out to be right as expected. But it’s a learning, an experience which will be unforgettable." (sic)

Up next, Shantnu will be seen in the long-delayed Raavana Kottam written and directed by Madha Yaanai Koottam-fame Vikram Sugumaran. The film will be hitting the screens on May 12.
