On Monday, the makers of Vemal’s Kulasamy released the film’s trailer. Directed by Sharavana Shakthi, the film’s dialogues are written by Vijay Sethupathi. Tanya Hope has played the female lead in Kulasamy. The film is slated for release on April 21.

The trailer establishes that Vemal’s character shares a great relationship with his sister. We are then shown a number of young women being abducted and molested by antagonists. How Vemal finds the bad guys and saves the day, forms the rest of the story. 

The long-overdue project was announced in 2020 and delayed due to the lockdowns. Kulasamy stars actors like Bose Venkat, Vinothini and Mahanadhi Shankar in important roles. Apart from them, famous police officer SR Jankid is also a part of the film.

Kulasamy has music by Mahalingam, editing by Gopi Krishnan and cinematography by Ravi Chandran. 
Vemal was last seen in the web series Vilangu, which is most likely to be renewed for a season two. He also has projects like Enga Pattan Sothu, Manjal Kudai and Vetri Kondan in various stages of production. His Deiva Machan is also set to hit theatres on April 21.
