We had earlier reported that Raghava Lawrence is in talks to lead director Rathna Kumar's next film. During a recent media interaction ahead of the release of Rudhran, Raghava Lawrence confirmed that he will be leading Rathna Kumar's next. 

Further, he also said that the story and screenplay will be penned by director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who will also produce the tentatively untitled film. Nayanthara is also in talks to star in the film. Raghava Lawrence recalled, "I was supposed to essay Vijay Sethupathi's character in Vikram. I missed out on the opportunity due to some date issues. Ever since Lokesh and I have been talking to do a film together." 

We await official confirmation and more updates from the makers. 

Meanwhile, Rathna Kumar is currently busy with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo, as he is one of the writers of the film. The director is known for films like Aadai, Meyaadha Maan and Gulu Gulu. 

Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence's latest outing, Rudhran, opened to mixed reviews. He is currently filming for Adhigaram and Chandramukhi 2. He is also a part of Durga, Jigarthanda Double X, and Muni: 5 Kanchana 4.
