On Friday, the makers of Yaathisai, the upcoming film about Pandiyas, released a behind-the-scenes video showing how the sound was recorded and designed for the film. Designed by R Saravanan and TP Dharma, live sounds have been used in the film to bring to life the historical story.

In the video, there are glimpses of how the sound designers recorded the sound live. R Saravanan also said that they travelled a lot and did deep research to capture the right kind of sounds. Some cast members are also seen making noises and screaming to recreate the war cries and chants in the film.

Directed by Dharani Rasendran, Yaathisai is backed by Venus Infotainment and Six Star Entertainment. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Akilesh Kathamuthu, editor Mahendran Ganesan, music composer Chakravarthy and art director Ranjith Kumar. Yaathisai is all set to hit theatres on April 21.
