Yaathisai, the upcoming film starring Shakthi Mithran, Seyon, Rajalakshmi, and Guru Somasundram, among many others, will hit the theatres on April 21. 

Directed by Dharani Rasendran, the film is produced by Venus Infotainment & Six star entertainment. The makers released the trailer recently. It hints that Yaathisai is a periodical fiction based on the 7th-century Pandiyan prince Ranadheeran, who ruled during a time when the Chola dynasty lost its power, and its people were forced to live in the woods. The film will also focus on the revolt of Eyinars and Cholas against Pandiyas, and how the war disrupted the lives of Devaradiyars. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Akilesh Kathamuthu, editor Mahendran Ganesan and music composer Chakravarthy and art director Ranjith Kumar.
