Actor Soori took to his social media handle to share a few photos with Superstar Rajinikanth who recently heaped praise on Viduthalai. Soori wrote, "Thalaivar Superstar's wish is the apex of all the congratulatory messages. I feel my life has come full circle as the one I looked up to for entering the cinema spoke about our creation. Thank god." 

Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai Part 1, the crime thriller starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, hit the theatres on March 31. The film opened to positive responses from the audiences. Recently, Superstar Rajinikanth watched the film and extended his wishes to the team. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth wrote, "The Tamil cinema has not seen such a premise so far. Viduthalai is epic. Soori's acting is marvellous. Ilaiyaraaja is forever the king of music. Vetri Maaran is the pride of Tamil cinema. Congratulations to the producers. I am eagerly waiting for the second part."

The film also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, Bhavani Sre and Chetan, among others. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by R Velraj and editing by R Ramar.
