Simbu-starrer Pathu Thala, backed by Studio Green, was released on March 30, and the film is currently in its second week of theatrical run. On marking the success, Studio Green released a statement through their social media handles, which labelled Pathu Thala as one of their hugely profitable ventures.

Studio Green expressed gratitude to actor Silambarasan (STR) and his fans in the statement. And they further extended their appreciation to the cast and crew, including the film's director Obeli N Krishna, music composer AR Rahman, actors Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan along with the rest of the cast, including Sayyeshaa Saigal, for her special appearance. The production house also stated that Pathu Thala is also one of the highest revenues in Silambarasan's career. 

Written and Directed by Obeli N Krishna, Pathu Thala is the remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. Silambarasan essayed the character played by Shivarajkumar in the Kannada version.
