Earlier we reported that Nayanthara will be starring in a film directed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, tentatively titled Lady Superstar 75. On Friday, the makers announced that Praveen Antony will edit the film. It is expected that the makers will introduce the rest of the cast and crew in the coming days.

On Thursday, they announced that actor Jai, who previously acted with Nayanthara in Atlee's 2013 film Raja Rani, will be part of Lady Superstar 75.

In an earlier conversation with Cinema Express, Nilesh, an assistant to director Shankar, previously said, "I wrote the script in 2019, and took time to research for the film. Even when writing, I had Nayanthara Ma'am in my mind. This will be completely different from other films that had her as the solo lead."

"Even Sathyaraj sir was my first choice for the role. When I planned to bring in Jai into the film, even Nayanthara ma'am was happy about it because of the vibes they shared previously in Raja Rani," shares Nilesh, quickly adding that the casting was purely coincidental and his film is not in any way similar to the Atlee film.
