Earlier, we reported that Suriya is collaborating with Siruthai Siva for an upcoming film tentatively titled Suriya 42. The latest update is that the title and release date of the film will be released on April 16 at 09:05 AM. Disha Patani is said to play the female lead in this high-budget film. Suriya will reportedly play 5 different characters in the film. The film will release in 10 languages in 3D.

Last year, the makers released a motion poster which featured an eagle flying over a battleground before finally resting on the shoulders of the warrior protagonist, who stands on a cliff. The motion poster reveals that the film will release in 3D across 10 languages.

The film will have cinematography by Siva's frequent collaborator, Vetri Palanisamy, production design by Milan and editing by Nishad Yusuf. Supreme Sundar will be choreographing the action sequences, while Narayana has co-written the script. The dialogues are by Madhan Karky. Suriya 42 is co-produced by UV Creations and Studio Green.
