The trailer of Burqa, the Tamil film which had a festival run, was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday. The film will premiere on Aha on Friday.

Directed by Sarjun, who previously assisted Mani Ratnam and helmed Airaa, Burqa also stars Kalaiyarasan, Mirnaa, Suriyanarayanan, GM Kumar.

The trailer appears to be a romance drama, set within a Muslim household. Without giving away about the plot, it revolves around two strangers played by Kalaiyarasan and Mirnaa, and the drama that ensues due to the traditions set within their culture.

Sarjun has penned the screeplay, story and dialogues. The technical crew consists of cinematography by G Balamurugan with R Sivatmikha composing the music. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics with editing handed by B Pravin Baaskar.
