On Monday, the makers of Flashback released a new poster on the occasion of Prabhudheva's birthday. The poster shows a new look of Prabhudheva from the film. Starring Regina Cassandra as the female lead, Flashback is directed by Don Sandy.

The trailer of Flashback showed Prabhudheva playing a writer, and at the same time takes us back to a period setting where a young boy is shown to be attracted to an older woman played by Regina. The film appears to be a coming-of-age story and will explore the themes of infatuation, adoration, and attraction. The film appears to be a period drama set against the backdrop of a hill station like Kodaikanal.

Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vijay Vishwa, Ilavarasu, Umariyaz, Chaams are also part of the cast. Don Sandy has earlier helmed the 2019 Tamil heist film Gorilla. Flashback is backed by Ramesh P Pillai under Abhishek Films banner.

The music is composed by Sam CS and S Yuva handled the cinematography. San Lokesh is the editor. A release date for Flashback is yet to be announced.
