We had earlier reported that Kamal Hassan starrer Indian 2, directed by Shankar, would be starting its new schedule in Taiwan. Now, the director has shared a photo on his Twitter handle, indicating that the shoot has commenced. 

On Saturday, Kamal Hassan also posted a photo of himself in the airport, captioned," Indian in transit 2 Taiwan," on his Instagram handle. 

Indian 2 will reportedly hit theatres in the second half of 2023. The film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera. 

Meanwhile, Shankar is simultaneously working on Ram Charan's forthcoming film Game Changer. On the work front, after Indian 2, Kamal Haasan has films with directors Pa Ranjith and H Vinoth. He also has the tentatively titled KH 234 with director Mani Ratnam and Vikram sequel with Lokesh Kanagaraj.
