It was announced in July that Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran will be releasing on December 23. Now, the production house of the film 5 Star Creations has released a press release stating that the date has been pushed to April 14, next year.

They have cited the delay in the VFX works of the film as the reason for the shift in the release date. The film is directed by Kathiresan, who is also producing the film through his production house, Five Star Creations LLP. The film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead while GV Prakash Kumar composed the music. Billed as an action entertainer, the film has cinematography by RD Rajasekar while KP Thirumaaran penned the story and screenplay. The film is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

In addition to Rudran, Raghava Lawrence has multiple films--including, Chandramukhi 2, a film with his brother Elviin under the direction of KS Ravikumar and Durai Senthil Kumar's Adhigaaram--in his slate of releases.
