Nitham Oru Vaanam clears censor formalities

Nitham Oru Vaanam, the upcoming Tamil film starring Ashok Selvan, has been certified U at the Censor Board, the makers said on social media on Tuesday. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 4.

It will release in Telugu as Aakasam.

The upcoming film also features Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali and Shivathmika Rajashekar. Directed by Ra Karthik, the film is expected to have Ashok Selvan to play three roles, Veera, Arjun and Prabha. Nitham Oru Vaanam/Aakasham will be a travelogue drama shot throughout India in locations like Chennai, Pollachi, Delhi, Kolkata, Sikkim and Visakhapatnam. That apart, the film also stars Abhirami and Kaali Venkat in pivotal roles. 

Speaking to Cinema Express earlier about the shooting experience in Rohtang La in the Himalayas, Ashok Selvan said, “For my first shot, I had to walk towards the camera. Once Karthik said 'action' in the mic, I began walking. All of a sudden, I saw snow fall all around me! In five minutes, it started snowing heavily and leaving the ground completely covered in snow within 30 minutes! We were all ecstatic.”
