We had previously reported that Silambarasan was filming for his upcoming Obeli N Krishna film, Pathu Thala. A remake of the 2017 Kannada film, Mufti, Pathu Thala has Silambarasan reprising the role played by Shivarajkumar in the original.  

Silambarasan took to social media to announce the wrap of the Karnataka schedule of the film. 

Backed by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, Pathu Thala also stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam.

With music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Farook J Basha, Pathu Thala will have editing by Praveen KL.

The film is expected to release this December.
