Sardar, the upcoming Tamil film starring Karthi in dual roles, is gearing up for a theatrical release on Friday, for the occassion of Diwali. Ahead of the film's release, the makers have decided to drop the music album of the film on Wednesday evening at 5pm. 

Sardar is billed to be a spy thriller, helmed by PS Mithran. Besides Karthi, the film also stars Raashi Khanna, Laila, Raijisha Vijayan, Chunky Panday among others.

The film recently got censored with U/A and will clash with Sivakarthikeyan's Prince at the box office. Sardar is also set to be released in Telugu and will be presented by Annapurna Studios.

Backed by Prince Pictures, Sardar marks Karthi's third film with GV Prakash after Aayirathil Oruvan and Saguni. Mithran's frequent collaborator George C Williams is in charge of Sardar's cinematography.
