Veteran producer K T Kunjumon is reportedly making a sequel to his 1993 blockbuster film Gentleman. The producer, who is known for his big-budget films in the 80s and 90s, largely stayed away from the film industry in the past two decades.

Chethan Cheenu, who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry, has been announced as the lead for the sequel. The actor is known for working in films like Pelliki Mundu Prema Katha, Vidyarthi, and Mantra 2. While the original film was directed by Shankar, the sequel will be directed by Gokul Krishna, known for films like Aaha Kalyanam. The filmmaker is also credited as the co-writer for the 2009 Vishnuvardhan directorial, Arya starrer Sarvam.

M M Keeravani, known for composing films like the Bahubali duology and the recently released RRR, will compose music for the film. K T Kunjumon will produce the film under his banner Gentleman Film International. The rest of the cast and release plans for the film are yet to be announced.
