On the 10th anniversary of Neerparavai, Seenu Ramasamy has announced the film's sequel. In a short note shared on his social media handle, the director also thanked the audience and his industry peers for all the love showered on the film.

Neerparavai is a poignant love story set in a coastal backdrop. Seenu Ramasamy scripted the film, which had dialogues co-written by Jeyamohan. Vishnu Vishal and Sunainaa played the lead roles, while Nandita Das appeared in an extended cameo. It is not yet known if the same set of actors will be part of the sequel.

Seenu Ramasamy's last release was the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Maamanithan. His long-delayed film Idam Porul Yaeval starring Vishnu Vishal and Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up to hit screens soon. The National-award winning filmmaker has also announced a film titled Idimuzhakkam with GV Prakash Kumar. Interestingly, Jeyamohan is penning its story as well.
