Prabhu Solomon's Sembi gets a release date

We had previously reported that director Prabhu Solomon is helming a Tamil film titled Sembi. Starring Kovai Sarala and Ashwin Kumar, the makers have now announced the release date. Red Giant Movies, which will be distributing the film, has revealed that the film will release in theatres on December 30.

Apart from Sarala and Ashwin Kumar, the film also stars Thambi Ramaiah, and a 10-year-old child actor named Nila in prominent roles. Expected to be a road flick, Sembi revolves around a bus, its 24 passengers, and their eventful journey from Kodaikanal to Dindigul.

The film has music scored by Nivas K Prasanna and cinematography by Jeevan. It is jointly produced by Trident Arts and AR Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Kovai Sarala who has done over 150 films just in Tamil, was last seen in Pei Mama. She is also part of Nooru Kodi Vaanavil. On the other hand, Ashwin was last seen in one segment of the Telugu anthology Meet Cute.
