For a while now there have been speculations about H Vinoth planning separate projects with Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi. But latest reports suggest that the director is eyeing to bring the two stars together for his next.

While Kamal Haasan will be playing the lead, Vijay Sethupathi will essay a prominent role in it. Kamal's Raaj Kamal Films International is backing the project, which will reportedly go on floors in 2023. There are also talks about Vinoth helming a film with Yogi Babu as the lead.

Vinoth is currently working on the post-production of Thunivu, which marks his third film with Ajith after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. The upcoming film, billed as a heist thiller, is set for Pongal release in January, 2023.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is shooting for Indian 2 with director Shankar. After its completion, Kamal is expected to begin works on Mahesh Narayanan's film, which he is also scripting. Recently, on his birthday it was also announced that he will be reuniting with Mani Ratnam for a new project.

Vijay Sethupathi next has the Ponram directorial DSP gearing up for release. He is also part of Sundeep Kishan's Michael and Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai. In Hindi, he has Merry Christmas, Mumbaikar, and Jawan lined up.
