It has been announced that the first schedule of Vijay's next with Vamshi Paidipally has been wrapped up. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, the film is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The makers took to their Twitter handle to announce the schedule wrap. They also informed that some importatnt portions have been shot in this schedule.

Billed as a family-based entertainer, the film has a strong star cast. While Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead's role, Sarath Kumar, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sangeetha, Shaam, and Jayasudha will be seen in supporting roles.

Director Vamshi has scripted the film along with Hari and Ahishor Solomon. It has music by Thaman and cinematography by Kharthik Palani. The film is scheduled for a Pongal 2023 release.
