The first single from Karthi’s upcoming film Viruman will be out on May 25 at 12 PM. The track titled  Kanja Poovu Kannala is sung by Sid Sriram. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the song and lyrics is penned by Karumatur Manimaran.

It is a romantic song featuring the lead pair, Karthi and debutante Aditi Shankar.

Viruman directed by Muthaiya is a rural-based mass entertainer set in Madurai. The film marks Karthi's reunion with the director after Komban.

Also starring Raj Kiran, Soori and Prakash Raj, Viruman has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Selvakumar SK.

The film will be released in theatres on August 31, coinciding with Vinayagar Chathurthi.

In addition to Viruman, Karthi has PS Mithran's Sardar and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan dulogy coming up.
