Lokesh Kanagaraj confirms Thalapathy 67 with Vijay

In a recently held awards ceremony, Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that he will reuniting with his Master actor Vijay for Thalapathy 67 (tentative title). When asked about the film's genre, the director said it will be a mix of both class and mass. He revealed that the official announcement will be made shortly after the release of Vikram.

Meanwhile, Vikram is getting ready for release on June 3. Billed as an action-packed entertainer, the film stars Kamal Haasan in the lead with Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi in equally prominent roles. Suriya is also making a cameo appearance in it.

Vijay is currently in Hyderabad shooting for Vamshi Paidipally's film, Thalapathy 66. Backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Shaam, Prabhu, Sangeetha, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. The makers have comfirmed it as a Pongal 2023 release.
