We had previously reported that Santhanam is playing the lead in a film titled Gulu Gulu that's directed by Meyaadha Maan-fame Ratna Kumar. The first look of the actor from the film was released earlier today. It features Santhanam playing rummy with a bunch of people with a capsized vegetable truck behind him. 

Earlier, while speaking about the film, Ratna had said, "Gulu Gulu will neither be like my first two films nor any of Santhanam sir films. It's about the misadventures of a person with a nomadic lifestyle who lives life like every day is his last."

The shooting of the film, also starring George Maryan, Dheena, Namita Krishnamurthy, Athulya Chandra and a host of newbies, was wrapped up last month. 

With music by Santhosh Narayanan, Gulu Gulu's cinematography and editing are handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and Philomin Raj respectively. Produced by Circle Box Entertainment, the film will hit the screens this July.
