It has been announced that Sasikumar will be headlining a new film titled Kaari. The film is directed by Hemanth while D Imman will be composing the soundtrack. The first look poster, which was revealed by filmmaker Vetri Maaran, features Kaari sporting a furious look in darkness.

The film is billed as a 'grand rural entertainer' and is being bankrolled by S Lakshman Kumar through Prince Pictures, the production house behind Karthi's upcoming Sardar. Ganeshchandhrra will be handling the cinematography while Shivanandeeswaran will be editing the film. Action choreographer duo Anbariv will be helming the stunt sequences of the film. Bigg Boss-fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan plays a prominent role in the film

In addition to Kaari, Sasikumar has a film with Kazhugu-fame Sathya Siva, Pagaivanuku Arulvai, and Common Man, in different stages of production.
