We had previously reported that director-turned-actor Karu Palaniappan is playing the lead in a film titled Kallan. It's now known that the film will hit screens on March 18th. 

Directed by writer-turned-filmmaker Chandra Thangaraj, the film is said to be a period gangster drama based on real-life events she witnessed growing up in a small village in Theni. 

Also starring Nikita, Maya Soundararaja and Namo Narayanan, Kallan has music by K and cinematography by MS Prabu and Gopijegatheeswaran.
