Veteran actor Poo Ramu has passed away. He was hospitalised earlier today in the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.

Ramu's claim to fame was with the 2008-released film Poo and Seenu Ramasamy's Neerparavai (2012). He is also known for his powerful performances in some of the recent hits like Peranbu, Karnan and Soorarai Pottru.

The veteran is also a popular street play artist. As soon as news came out about his passing away, netizens and many from the film industry started pouring in their condolences on social media.
