GV Prakash to compose music for Pa Ranjith-Vikram film

The project will be a pan-Indian period film which will also have a 3D version

We had previously reported that director Pa Ranjith is joining hands with Vikram for a project that will be bankrolled by KE Gnanavelraja. It's now known that the film will have music by GV Prakash and it will mark his first collaboration with the filmmaker. The composer had earlier worked with Vikram in films like Deiva Thirumagal and Thaandavam

The producer shared the news in a recent interview where he also stated that the project will be a pan-Indian period film. He also mentioned that the film will have a 3D version and confirmed that the film will go on floors from July 15. 

Meanwhile, Ranjith is awaiting the release of Natchathiragm Nagargirathu starring Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan. He will also helm a film titled Vettuvam which will continue into a series. Vikram, on the other hand, has Ajay Gnanamuthu's Cobra that's scheduled to release on August 11. He will also be seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan.
