Thalapathy 66: First look to be out on this date

Sri Venkateshwara Creations, the production house bankrolling Vijay's next, tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, has revealed the release and time and date of the film's first look. Keeping in tradition with Vijay's recent projects, the first look will be unveiled on June 21, the eve of the actor's birthday.

The announcement was made with a poster featuring Vijay, whose face remains invisible, wearing a backpack and is seen as a silhouette. The poster revealed that the first look will be out at 6:01 pm on Tuesday.

The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Kushboo, Jayasudha, Srikanth and Shayam in prominent roles and reports suggest that it will be a family drama.

The film has music by Thaman S and cinematography by Kharthik Palani, while Praveen KL will be handling the editing department. The film is currently scheduled to release on Pongal 2023.
