Actor Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan got married today at 10:25 am, after being in love for years. Their marriage took place in a private resort in Mahabalipuram, following Hindu traditions. Though the event was completely private with just over 200 invitees, the couple has provided lunch to thousands of needy people in old homes, temples and children's home. 

The initiative of the couple has been widely lauded by the fans and well-wishers. The wedding has drawn attention of the entire nation as biggest names of the entertainment industry like Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth were part of the wedding ceremony.

The entire ceremony has been kept away from the eyes of the media, and it is said that it is exclusively shot under the supervision of director Gautham Vasudev Menon for a direct Netflix premiere.
