We had earlier reported that veteran producer KT Kunjumon was returning to film production with the sequel to his blockbuster film, Gentleman. While the original marked director Shankar's debut in cinema, details about the director of the sequel, titled Gentleman 2, were kept under wraps. Now, it has come to light that Aaha Kalyanam director Gokul Krishna will helm the sequel.

While the original starred Arjun and Madhoo in the lead roles, the sequel is set to star Nayanthara Chakravarthy in the lead, and also feature Priya Lal in a pivotal role. Gentleman 2 will also mark RRR composer Keeravani's return to Tamil cinema after Kondattam (2000). However, details about who will play the hero, and other members of the technical crew are still under wraps.

Gentleman 2 will be shot in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and will also be dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada.
