Please respect our privacy: Actor Meena in statement post husband's death

Two days after her husband Vidyasagar's death, actor Meena has released a statement asking everyone to respect their privacy and stop broadcast of any false information.

Meena wrote on Instagram, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my loving husband Vidya Sagar. I sincerely request all media to respect our privacy and sympathise this situation. Please stop further broadcast of any false information on this matter."

"During these difficult times, I want to express my gratitude to all those good hearts who helped and stood with our family. I would like to thank all the medical team who tried their best, our Chief Minister, health minister Radhakrishnan IAS, colleagues, friends, family, media and my loving fans for sending love and prayers," she added. 

It was reported that Vidyasagar suffered lung-related ailments that were made worse by a Covid-19 infection he contracted a few months back. 

The news came as a shock to Meena's friends, fans, and the family's well-wishers who expressed their condolences on social media, and extended their support to the grief-stricken family.

Meena, who has worked in multiple languages, married Vidyasagar in 2009, and the couple has an 11-year-old daughter. On the work front, she was last seen in the Telugu film Son of India.
