Just a week after getting out of the Bigg Boss Tamil house, actor Pavni Reddy revealed on social media that she has contracted the coronavirus.

On her account, Pavni wrote, "To all my well-wishers, I have tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. I have isolated myself at home and have been following medical guidance. Can't wait to be back."

In the recently concluded Bigg Boss Tamil season 5, Pavni ended up becoming the second runner-up in a stiffly competitive season that saw Raju Jeyamohan pick up the title. Priyanka Deshpande, known for her stint in Vijay TV as an anchor, came second.

Meanwhile, the show is set to go on in the Bigg Boss house as a 24x7 live streaming version of the reality show, titled Bigg Boss Ultimate, is set to premiere on Disney + Hotstar on January 30. Contestants from previous seasons will be present in the new show, which will be hosted by Kamal Haasan.
