Raju Jeyamohan, known for his roles in Tamil TV serials has won the title of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5. The grand finale of the reality show, hosted by Kamal Haasan, was broadcast today. Unlike the previous seasons, this time there was no live coverage of the event due to Covid restrictions in place.

Priyanka Deshpande ended up as the first runner-up of this season. Following her, Pavani Reddy, Amir, and Niroop won the subsequent positions.

The season saw about 20 participants including popular names like Sanjeev, Imman, Abhishek Raja, and Chinnaponnu. This season also featured Namitha, the first transgender participant in the show.

The general consensus about the fifth edition of the reality show indicated that the new season sat in contrast to its predecessors, with cliched elements such as groupism among the participants seeing a considerable decline.
