Maanaadu remake rights sold in all languages

Silambarasan TR's time loop thriller Maanaadu was one of the biggest hits of the last year. Though the film was initially aimed to be a multi-lingual dubbed release with the title The Loop, only the Tamil version made it to the theatres. It was informed that the Telugu version will be released at a later date. 

But now it has been announced that the Telugu dubbing and remake rights of the film has been bagged by Suresh Production. The news was made official through the Twitter handle of the production house. 

Maanaadu, had its digital premiere on December 24, on Sony Liv. The film tells the story of a man named Abdul Khaliq, played by Silambarasan, who gets trapped in a time loop and soon sets out on a mission to save the chief minister from an assassination plotted by a crooked cop played by SJ Suryah.

The film also starred Kalyani Priyadarshan, YG Mahendran, Premgi, and Karunakaran in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film while Praveen KL and Richard M Nathan have handled editing and cinematography, respectively.
