Pathu Thala, the upcoming Tamil film starring actors Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik in the lead roles, is set to release in theatres on March 30, the makers announced on social media on Saturday.

Pathu Thala is a remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. The upcoming film is helmed by Obeli N Krishna. Silambarasan will reportedly essay the character originally played by Shivarajkumar in the Kannada version.

The film is produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja. The film also stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam in supporting roles. With music composed by AR Rahman and cinematography by Farook J Basha, Pathu Thala will have editing by Praveen KL.

Meanwhile, Silambarasan who was last seen in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (VTK), recently sang Thee Thalapathy song in Varisu. The actor, who has the sequel of VTK, also has Corona Kumar in the pipeline.
