We had earlier reported that the sequel of the 2015 horror thriller film Demonte Colony is already in works and the film went on floors in November. The makers have now shared that the first schedule of the shooting has been wrapped up in Hosur. With this, 40 percent of the shoot has been completed.

With the tagline 'Vengeance Of The Unholy', Demonte Colony 2 is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, who also helmed the first part in his directorial debut. He will also serve as the creative producer of the film. The protagonist of the first part, Arulnithi Tamilarasu, will feature in the sequel as well.

The 2015 film was a fictional story set at the Demonte Colony area in Chennai's Alwarpet. While the plot of the second film is kept under wraps, Priya Bhavani Shankar will be the new addition to the cast.

The technical crew of Demonte Colony 2 consists of Sam CS as the music composer and Deepak D Menon as cinematographer. Kumaresh and Ravi Pandi will handle the editing and production designer respectively.
